Her Story
About Hema
I have been in the IT field for nearly 20 years, with my current role as a Salesforce lead beginning in 2017. Before this, I worked in the finance industry. My main area of expertise is Salesforce, and I work in a lead capacity handling both project management and technical responsibilities. I manage a team of 20 developers and oversee 9 projects on a sequential basis, with 3 to 4 projects typically running in parallel at any given time. My typical day starts with checking my calendar and emails, reviewing ADO notifications to catch up on communications, and then leading a technical stand-up call with my team where we go through all tasks and work assigned to them one by one, identifying gaps, addressing blockers, and coordinating as needed. I then consolidate key points from the technical call and summarize them to the product owner in our broader team stand-up. I make sure all different aspects of the projects are covered with no gaps, coordinating with QA teams, regression testing, external teams, and third-party vendors to successfully implement all projects. For a team of my size and the number of projects running in parallel, we would typically need at least 3 people's brains and work for coordinating, but I have been managing it all and receiving great feedback from everyone that I'm doing a really great job.
