What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my core values of authenticity, empowerment, and challenging cultural norms. While visibility has been a key challenge in my field, I’ve leveraged my ability to connect globally and focus on helping others succeed as a driving force in my work.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that “life is not what you deserve, but what you negotiate.” It taught me the importance of advocating for myself and actively shaping opportunities in all aspects of my life rather than waiting for them to be given.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to be bold and confident in their unique voices. From my own experience, embracing boldness has accelerated my career growth and opened doors I might not have otherwise accessed.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field right now are funding and visibility. It’s not a lack of work or impact, but rather ensuring that what we are doing is seen and recognized by a wider audience. I’m currently in a season where I have to be highly strategic with limited resources, making the most of what is available while being intentional about every investment. At the same time, this creates an opportunity to strengthen outreach, expand our visibility, and ultimately connect with more people so we can scale our impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are increased visibility, access to practical resources, and the credibility that comes from third-party recognition. These guide how I approach opportunities, build relationships, and grow impact in a sustainable and meaningful way.
