Her Story
About Hertha
Hertha Green works as a paraeducator in a high-cell room focused on highly intensive social-emotional learning for behavior students. She began her career in early child care at a daycare center, later worked as a nanny, and operated her own in-home daycare for four years before transitioning to her current school role while completing student teaching. Green holds an associate's degree and a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and started her master's in special education in August 2024. She previously volunteered on church mission trips to an orphanage in Guatemala until COVID restrictions ended the program. Green credits her success to her father, a single dad who worked multiple jobs while attending every school event and meeting his children's needs.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My dad was a single dad who worked multiple jobs to support us while always being there for school events and everything we needed. He showed me what hard work and dedication look like.
