Dr. Hillary Hushower-Jones
Dr. Hillary Hushower-Jones is a chiropractor, entrepreneur, and business strategist based in Carmel, Indiana, and the founder and owner of two established ventures: Rangeline Chiropractic Clinic and HHJ Consulting. She has built a career at the intersection of healthcare, leadership, and community development, while also serving as the host of The Boujee Multipreneur podcast, where she explores topics related to entrepreneurship, mindset, boundaries, and sustainable success. Across all of her work, she is known for blending clinical expertise with a strong emphasis on business systems, relationship-building, and community-centered growth.
Her career began in the pharmaceutical field, where she initially pursued a traditional healthcare pathway and worked as a pharmacy technician while studying to become a pharmacist. During this time, she gained firsthand insight into the challenges of the healthcare environment, including high levels of professional burnout, emotional exhaustion among providers, and the pressures placed on both staff and patients. She also experienced the intensity of working in high-risk pharmacy settings, including multiple incidents involving safety threats from individuals seeking controlled substances. These experiences ultimately became a turning point in her career, prompting her to reevaluate how she wanted to impact patient care and the broader healthcare system.
Motivated by a desire to create a more proactive and holistic approach to health, she transitioned into chiropractic medicine and relocated to Iowa to attend chiropractic school, where the discipline originated. Upon graduation, she made a decisive move into practice ownership, purchasing a chiropractic clinic in a new state and community where she had no established network of family or friends. The practice she acquired required significant rebuilding rather than operating as a fully turnkey business, which placed her in the position of simultaneously clinician, entrepreneur, and community builder. Through consistent outreach, grassroots networking, and active participation in local events, she established deep roots in her community and became widely recognized for her visible and ongoing engagement with local residents and businesses.
Today, Dr. Hushower-Jones leads multiple chiropractic clinics and has expanded her impact through business coaching and consulting through HHJ Consulting, which she launched in 2021. Her coaching work focuses on helping chiropractors and service-based entrepreneurs develop sustainable systems for growth, strengthen leadership capacity, and build meaningful community partnerships that enhance both visibility and patient engagement. Her daily work is a blend of clinical oversight, operational leadership, marketing strategy, team development, and client coaching. A significant portion of her time is also dedicated to community-facing initiatives, including vendor events, wellness pop-ups, and collaborative partnerships with small businesses focused on health and lifestyle improvement. Her career reflects a consistent commitment to building businesses that are not only financially successful, but also deeply integrated into the communities they serve.

What do you attribute your success to?
I would say my parents they were small business owners, and they also hustled and worked hard. They were honest and genuine in how they ran their business, and I think that I took a lot more from them than I thought I did as I look back now. As they are retired and my dad has passed away, I look back at how much they worked and hustled for me, and I did the same, to be honest. I think they showed me what work ethic was. But they were always there for me, and we always created memories, so I was able to do that with my kids. I'm a very organized person, so I balance my schedule as effectively as I possibly can.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I would say it was to hustle while you didn't have kids and while they were young, and then you're able to back off when they're older and they need you to come to school events and sports and things like that. So I hit the ground running, hustling 60-plus hours a week for a long time, and built up my practice so well that it can sustain without me for weeks at a time. When people look at my life and they say, oh, it's so easy, but no one really saw me when I was hustling 60-plus hours a week.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life center around balance, growth, and meaningful connection. I prioritize building a life that allows me to show up fully for my family while continuing to grow as a leader, entrepreneur, and educator. I value health and wellness in a holistic sense, which is reflected in my commitment to yoga, working out, and maintaining an active lifestyle that keeps me grounded and energized. Family is at the core of everything I do, and I deeply value the time I spend with my children and, more recently, the joy of welcoming a new puppy into our home. I also place high importance on continuous learning and global perspective, which I express through travel and teaching—whether at seminars locally or internationally, including opportunities where I have taught in places like Greece. In both business and life, I am driven by growth, service, and the belief that success should enhance, not compromise, the quality of your personal life.
