Hira is highly proficient at managing complex workflows, learning new systems quickly, and effectively collaborating across all levels of an organization, making her a trusted leader in her field. Throughout her career, Hira has held progressive roles at Banner Life and its predecessor, Legal & General, including Tactical Planning Specialist and Operational and Tactical Planning Analyst. Her background also includes leadership positions in education management with KinderCare Education, where she honed her skills in team building, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. I attribute my success to embracing hard work and taking full ownership of my actions. When I make mistakes, I view them as opportunities to learn, grow, and move forward stronger.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s okay to make mistakes and ask questions—never stay silent. Growth comes from learning, and curiosity shows courage, initiative, and a genuine desire to do better.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be confident and know that you belong. Own your space, take your seat at the table, claim your successes, and give yourself grace along the way.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field is helping people understand not just what we do, but why it matters. When individuals grasp the purpose behind our work, it drives engagement, motivation, and meaningful business impact.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are trust and ethics. These are principles I never compromise on, as they guide my decisions, relationships, and the way I lead.
