Her Interview
Ten minutes with Hoa
01What do you attribute your success to?
I actually give my success to my family. Especially my dad. He was the guy, a very smart businessman, and working very hard for his family, and always do the right things, and always care for the people around him.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The most important one was from one of my mentors a long time ago when I started my job... I've learned that I need to know my worth... pitch for myself.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself and know your worth and speak up for what you want. Because I've learned from my mentor in my early career that, you know, if you don't speak up and you don't know your worth, no one knows your value.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge for me is to balance work and life at this stage of my career, because I have two young children... In terms of opportunity, I'm very hopeful with my new role... global mobility space is changing because of current economy and politics and immigration changes.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I want to build relationships. I want to nurture relationships with everyone that I met... under-promise and over-deliver... always be honest.
