Her Interview
Ten minutes with Holly
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep working on yourself and your confidence, believe in yourself, and don't take things personally. It's not personal, and move on. Sometimes people make decisions and it has nothing to do with you.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Laser focus on one thing and become a master at it. Don't try to wear many hats or do both residential and commercial. Build your name by being the best at one specialty.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
No training in the industry, which is why I want to start my own. Also, the ups and downs require self-motivation; you can't take days off when it's slow, you have to keep prospecting and building relationships.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and patience are at the top of the list. Treat people with kindness and respect equally, whether talking to the janitor or the CEO.
