About Holly

Holly Estel serves as Clinical Advisor for Genesis, overseeing the clinical side of the business for 33 buildings in West Virginia and Tennessee. She entered the field around 1996 or 1997 after beginning her nursing career in an emergency department and initially working as an infusion expert on the pharmacy side for five years. Estel progressed through multiple roles at Genesis, including clinical manager for seven or eight buildings in southern West Virginia, Director of Clinical Education covering Baltimore, DC, and Virginia, Director of Clinical Operations, and eventually Vice President of Clinical Operations, at one point managing 110 buildings across eight states and later half the country. After leaving for two and a half years to work as Director of Clinical Operations at CommuniCare in West Virginia and then with Centers Healthcare in New York City, she returned to Genesis two and a half years ago. In her current role, she has focused on improving survey outcomes, implementing proactive clinical programs, and enhancing education for directors of nursing. Estel is passionate about patient care in skilled nursing facilities and mentoring new nurses to pursue opportunities in long-term care.
