Ten minutes with Holly
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The biggest piece of advice that I've been given was from an old manager is just don't give up. Because it wasn't until I was in my mid-30s that I finally got into my industry, and I had to start at the very bottom.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Coming from a woman's perspective in the industry that is male dominant, make your presence known. Show what you bring to the table, and show how you're going to help everything grow.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is that this was brand new to our company. I was blessed to be able to create it from scratch and mold it however I would like it, but the biggest challenge is also that same thing because I'm figuring out what resources we have and how things should operate.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I really value commitment. It takes a lot for someone to come into this industry and really commit to doing the job and working in the sales, and really increasing and promoting growth. And hard work, because this isn't for the faint of heart. It might seem really fun on the outside, going to happy hours and doing all these fun events, but it definitely is very stressful, and takes a lot of hard work and dedication and that commitment in order to be able to meet and exceed your goals.
