Her Interview

Ten minutes with Holly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I know how to build relationships. I'm likable. People love working with me, and I follow through. The biggest thing is you have to approach everything with humility. You walk into the sales meeting and say thank you for inviting me, I'm flattered and grateful, and hopeful I can put value into what we talk about today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Humility is your best friend. Handle every interaction with gratitude and care.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You've got to be able to know how to weave yourself in, network within the organization. You've got to have a hunter mentality. You've got to act like an entrepreneurial salesperson, as if it's your own business.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Competition and getting through my own company silos of information sharing. Being innovative and opportunistic. Companies get stuck in processes and stop innovating. Marketing doesn't get out and talk to sales or customers.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kindness and helpfulness
