About Hope
Hope Gibbs founded Incandescent PR in 2008 as a full-service PR firm and publishing company based in Alexandria, Virginia. She manages six sites including the magazines Incandescent Women, which has featured nearly a thousand women, Be Incandescent for health and wellness, and Incandescent Kids, along with Incandescent Radio and Incandescent.tv podcast and video channels that reach over 1.5 million hits monthly. Her professional journey includes writing for the Washington Post and USA Today, conducting author interviews for 30 years, and serving as communications director for the City of Fairfax Schools and Social Technologies before launching her company to help entrepreneurs and authors increase visibility. Gibbs holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School of Communication, a master's in positive psychology from Claremont Graduate University, and studied educational leadership at GW. She is also a Martha Train life coach, yoga teacher, massage therapist with certification from Alive and Well in 1991, Reiki Master with two certifications, Kundalini-trained and Yin-trained yoga teacher, and Prana healer. She maintains memberships in the National Press Club and the American Massage Therapy Association and supports initiatives such as Alexandria Women Who Do Good, Art in All Spaces, and The Writings on the Wall.
