Her Story
About Hulda
Hulda Bellange serves as a case manager, a role she has held for two years with her current organization. For more than a decade she has supported the Haitian community in Delaware by connecting individuals with essential resources, guiding them through social services, and educating them on their rights as immigrants. Her advocacy includes five years of work with the ACLU addressing evictions and housing challenges, during which she traveled across the state to teach community members how to seek court representation and defend themselves. She also offers ongoing translation and interpretation services and conducts employment training to prepare people for positions at employers such as Amazon and Purdue. Bellange draws inspiration from her passion for helping others in practical ways rather than through politics, and she creates monthly community gatherings to provide safe spaces for emotional expression. Her dedication is evident in success stories like that of a client’s daughter who secured educational funding and employment through the skills and encouragement she received.
