About Hye Sun (Sunny)
PhD candidate in Neuroscience with a strong focus on systems neuroscience, neuromodulation, and learning mechanisms, currently completing doctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Research centers on the neural circuitry of the dentate gyrus and its role in discrimination learning, with findings presented at leading conferences including the Society for Neuroscience and Gordon Research Conference.
Combines rigorous academic research with translational and entrepreneurial experience through NSF I-Corps programs, evaluating the commercial potential of scientific innovations and engaging in customer discovery to bridge the gap between research and real-world application. Selected as an Activator in Nucleate Bay Area, supporting early-stage biotech innovation and venture development.
