Her Story

About Ildiko

I have been in the holistic health industry since 2003, and I run my own business, Ildiko LLC. As an integrated functional health coach, I help women who are newly diagnosed with cancer and people who are having chronic diseases. For the past 7 years, I have worked primarily with cancer patients, but I am now transitioning to also serve those with chronic diseases. The foundational principles are the same regardless of the condition - we have to go back to the foundational principles. My approach is about guiding my clients through their healing journey and making them aware that the body has the possibility to heal. Before entering holistic health, I worked as a dental hygienist for 18 years, having studied in Austria. I got my first certification in holistic health in Austria in 2003, and I just finished my certification in Integrative Movement Science from an institute in San Diego this year. I am also on the board of a non-profit organization called The Healing Tree Performing Arts Project, which supports autistic children. My non-negotiables and values include sleep, going to bed on time and having good recovery with 8 hours of sleep, drinking high-quality water, eating high-quality food and creating my own food. My health is my highest priority - I take care of my body first before I do something else.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ildiko

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my discipline. Discipline is essential, and you also have to be honest. Those are the two key qualities - discipline and honesty.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to follow your intuition.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is honesty. Honesty is the shortest way to guide people to true health. You have to be honest with your clients - that is essential.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in working with cancer patients is that they are in two different worlds when somebody talks about holistic health versus when they are choosing the allopathic way. The challenge is when they are not doing the work that they have to do. The opportunities exist for the people who are doing the work - to show that actually everything is possible if we are getting rid of the noise and getting rid of what makes us sick. It is frustrating sometimes when people are not doing the work, because we have to go back to foundational principles. We start with baby steps, mastering baby steps, and then they get another one to work on and master that one. The biggest challenge right now is to go slow with clients and help them understand that healing takes time. You cannot expect quick results - healing takes time in all areas.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my work, my values center on guiding all my clients and making them aware that the body has the possibility to heal. I guide them through their healing journey. In my personal life, my non-negotiables and values include sleep - going to bed on time and having good recovery with 8 hours of sleep is absolutely non-negotiable. I also prioritize drinking high-quality water, eating high-quality food, and creating my own food. My health is my highest priority - I take care of my body first before I do something else. These foundational principles are what I live by.
