Iliana Lince
Iliana Lince is a seasoned architect and Senior Project Manager at Behar Font & Partners, where she has spent the past four years leading complex high-rise residential and mixed-use developments across South Florida. With an impressive 37-year career in architecture, she brings deep technical expertise in construction documentation, team coordination, and project execution. Her work focuses on ensuring that intricate design plans translate seamlessly into successful construction, a responsibility she approaches with precision, accountability, and a strong commitment to excellence. Having contributed to numerous landmark developments—including 40+ story towers and large-scale urban projects—Iliana is known for her ability to bring clarity and structure to highly complex environments.
A graduate of the University of Oriente in Cuba, where she earned her five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1988, Iliana has continued to evolve alongside the industry through certifications in Revit, LEED, and housing code requirements. Her expertise spans consultant coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and landscape disciplines, as well as navigating rigorous city permitting processes throughout Miami and surrounding areas. She believes that the success of any project lies in strong coordination between drawings and construction execution—particularly in high-rise buildings, where precision is critical. Her leadership style is grounded in professionalism, clear communication, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of architects.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Iliana is deeply committed to her family and personal passions. Married for 38 years, she shares her life and profession with her husband, who is also an architect. Together, they enjoy traveling and exploring new places. She is a proud mother and grandmother, currently writing a book for her grandchildren set for release in April 2026. A creative at heart, Iliana enjoys music, dancing, art, and painting, with writing serving as another meaningful outlet. Whether in her career or personal life, she embraces each day with enthusiasm, guided by her belief in loving the work you do and inspiring others to grow along the way.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being very professional in my work that I do every day. Leadership is very important to me too, and helping to grow up another, the young people especially - that for me is very important.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Love every single day. Every line you draw in your drawings, you have to love. The thing you are doing every single day.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be very passionate with the thing you are doing. Try to do the best. Be open to learn every single thing that people are showing to you. Be strong and secure in your work and in your decisions.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
For me, the most important thing is the coordination between the drawings and when we go to the construction site, especially because we are doing a lot of high-rise buildings, which is very complicated.

I try to be honest - that's for me the good things in life. Be kind, be helping others.
