Iliana M Ramirez
Iliana Ramirez is a dedicated Project Coordinator and Technical Designer at Brio Builders LLC, where she merges creativity with precision to bring architectural visions to life. Originally from McAllen, Texas, Iliana moved to San Antonio to pursue her academic and professional goals, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio, along with a graduate certificate in Construction Management. Her education laid a strong foundation in design tools like Revit, Procore, and Adobe Suite, as well as critical project management methodologies.
Iliana’s career began at Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing, where she learned the importance of clear communication between architects, engineers, and contractors—skills that continue to serve her in her current role. At Brio Builders, she is responsible for coordinating residential projects through every stage, from design and permitting to client presentations and zoning board approvals. She credits her mentor, Jim Tafya, for instilling in her the values of positivity, client care, and strategic project navigation. With a commitment to environmentally conscious design and community-focused building, Iliana continues to grow as a leader in the architecture and construction industry.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is: never let anyone define your path—remember, you are strong, courageous, and guided by purpose; hold firm to your morals, treat others with respect, be direct, and always maintain your boundaries.
