I've been in the beauty, health, and wellness field since 2020. What inspired me to go in this direction was when I was in high school, I was really heavy into Twitter, and there was a space on Twitter that was really big into skincare and beauty, and I just really found a lot of comfort in that community. So I decided I had to go to aesthetic school after that. I've worked retail here and there, but the spa industry always calls me back. Right now, I run a health and wellness center called Beam Light Sauna. We're right in the heart of Houston, and we offer a few different options for everybody, whether their goals are fitness-related, cosmetics-related, or health-related. We have saunas, light therapy, things like that, so I'm educating everybody as much as possible about how I can help them and fit into their lifestyle. I also guide my team. I have a team of about 10 right now that I guide through their sales, their education, their everyday life. I try to really connect with my team of all women, so I do really try to give as much guidance personally as much as I do professionally and provide a comfortable space for them. I think that's one of my favorite parts about my job, is that I am able to give some of the advice and the things that I learned along the way from a lot of the women who taught me what I know and give that right back to the younger women who are following behind me, so that feels really great. We do a lot of outreach in the community, we do a lot of events, partnering with other fitness studios, run clubs, wellness studios, gyms, things like that, just trying to get the community really excited about starting their wellness journey and encouraging them on doing what they can for their wellness journey.
