What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying consistent with myself and never losing faith in who I am, especially during the hardest times. My biggest accomplishment is definitely my bachelor's degree. That's my baby right there, my sign of being resilient, because I went through a rough era while earning it. I was married, in a difficult marriage that involved domestic abuse, and one of the things that opened my eyes to step out of my marriage was school. Education, I believe, is not only the best source for income, but also the best source to train your persona, to believe in you, to stay consistent with you, and to not let other people be the drivers of your life. You cannot let yourself get lost for other people that don't add anything to you. You gotta stay consistent with you and faithful to you, and never lose that. Everything is possible as long as you believe in you.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My message to younger generations, and even to women who are older than me going through similar things, is that you might be going through hard times, but everything is possible as long as you believe in you. You cannot let yourself get lost for other people that don't add anything to you. You gotta stay consistent with you and faithful to you, and never lose that. Don't let other people be the drivers of your life. Education is not only the best source for income, but also the best source to train your persona, to believe in yourself, to stay consistent and disciplined in what you believe. It's possible if you believe in you and you stay consistent and disciplined in what you believe.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me, both in my work and personal life, is helping people. Whether I'm working with sick people in a hospital or with pilots in aviation who need to be compliant and meet their goals, at the end of the day, my reward is helping them go through whatever they were needing to do. That satisfaction that we saved today by helping someone makes my job rewarding for me. In my personal life, I dedicate a lot of my time to my grandmother who is under my care, taking her to doctor's appointments, labs, whatever she needs. And I also believe strongly in staying consistent with yourself, being faithful to you, and not letting other people drive your life. You have to believe in yourself and stay disciplined in what you believe.
