Ingrid Laplanche is an accomplished Information Technology professional with over 25 years of experience in IT management, software implementation, database administration, and technical support. Her expertise spans a wide range of technologies, including SQL Server, .NET and Access development, SAP, AS400, Sage Accpac, network installation, and cybersecurity. Ingrid has built a reputation for delivering efficient, high-quality solutions and guiding organizations through complex IT projects, data conversions, and system implementations. Notably, in Haiti, she worked on a project in 2018 that evolved into a software program which continues to be used today, demonstrating the lasting impact of her work.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to tackle the impossible before anyone tells you it can’t be done. This mindset has taught me to embrace challenges with confidence, push beyond perceived limits, and turn ambitious goals into achievable outcomes. It has shaped the way I approach my work, encouraging innovation, resilience, and a proactive attitude in every project I undertake.

My advice to young women entering the IT industry is to stay focused, keep learning, and never doubt your place in the field. The technology sector thrives on curiosity and continuous growth, so embracing new skills and knowledge is essential. Equally important is having confidence in your abilities—your perspective and contributions are valuable, and persistence combined with dedication will help you excel and lead in this dynamic industry.

The biggest challenge and opportunity in the IT field today is the ever-evolving nature of technology. Staying current with new tools, platforms, and best practices requires continuous learning and adaptability. At the same time, this rapid evolution presents tremendous opportunities to innovate, implement cutting-edge solutions, and make a meaningful impact in organizations that embrace technological advancement.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are hard work, productivity, dedication, and humility. I approach every challenge with commitment and focus while remaining grounded and open to learning. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, and engaging in outdoor activities that help me recharge, stay active, and maintain balance in life.
