Ipsa Trivedi is a data engineering professional with approximately 10 years of experience in data and over 14 years in engineering overall. She began her bachelor's studies in engineering in 2010 and transitioned into data engineering work in 2016 following graduate studies in the United States that started in 2015. Trivedi specializes in data engineering, data analysis, and business intelligence, with expertise in cloud technologies and building data platforms. She attributes her career success to the encouragement of her father, who supported her decision to pursue studies and a career in the United States despite coming from a small town in India at a young age. A notable career milestone was presenting her data platform design at a technical conference, where her work received strong recognition and prompted discussions with industry professionals for her insights on their data platforms.
She encourages aspiring women in technology to cultivate a deep passion for continuous learning, embrace emerging technologies with curiosity, and develop the discernment to select the most effective tools and solutions for complex, real-world challenges.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Coming from a small town in India, Ipsa Trivedi credits her father’s unwavering encouragement as the foundation of her professional journey. His belief in her potential gave her the confidence to pursue higher education and a career in the United States at a young age, at a time when relatively few women from similar backgrounds chose that path. She considers his support to be the catalyst for the opportunities and accomplishments that followed.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
"Keep it simple" is the advice I strive to follow throughout my career. The best work isn't the one that appears the most elaborate—it’s the one that addresses the toughest challenges with simplicity and effectiveness. Great engineering is about building solutions that are thoughtful, scalable, and easy to maintain.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I believe this industry is for people who are genuinely passionate about it. Data engineering is constantly evolving, so you have to enjoy learning and be willing to keep up with new technologies. My advice is to dive in, learn as much as you can, and always stay curious. Over time, you'll realize that success isn't just about knowing the latest tools—it's about understanding which tools to use, when to use them, and how to apply them to solve the right problems.
