About Ipsa
Ipsa Trivedi is a data engineering professional with approximately 10 years of experience in data and over 14 years in engineering overall. She began her bachelor's studies in engineering in 2010 and transitioned into data engineering work in 2016 following graduate studies in the United States that started in 2015. Trivedi specializes in data engineering, data analysis, and business intelligence, with expertise in technologies such as Airflow, Spark, SQL, and Python. She attributes her career success to the encouragement of her father, who supported her decision to pursue studies and a career in the United States despite coming from a small town in India at a young age. One of her proud professional moments came from presenting her Airflow design at a conference, where attendees showed strong interest and reached out for insights on building data platforms. Trivedi advises aspiring women in the industry to cultivate genuine passion for the work, stay current with cutting-edge technologies, and develop the ability to select the right tools for each situation.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I come from a very small town in India... My dad was the one who encouraged me. He backed me up. He was the one who pushed me to, you know, pursue my career, and that really was the beginning of my story. So everything I am today It all goes back to that moment when my dad successfully convinced me. And encouraged me to, you know, pursue this once and see if I like it... When I came to the U.S, not many girls back then, would encourage, would pursue their career... I was a mere [AGE] when I came to the US. But I'm so happy... of the courage that I had because of my dad, that I did it all on my own... My proud moments are really when I went to, so, Airflow is one of the technologies... I went to a conference, and I spoke, on my... design, and people really liked it.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
This industry is for people who really have a passion for it... you need to have real passion for it, because this is a very kind of... you cannot talk about this with other non-data engineers... jump in, learn as much as you can. And always be on the cutting-edge technologies... understanding what to use when, and what kind of tools to use when, that's what makes you succeed.
