Her Story

About Iryna

I am a Business Development and Education Representative at Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC), where I've been for almost 9 months. In this role, I help develop strategic partnerships between our company and vendors, and I also provide education resources and tools for people who are accredited with ACHC. Prior to joining ACHC, I worked for Duke Health and UNC Health for about three and a half years, and before that, I was in another role for over 8 years. Throughout my career, I've been really much an advocate for women, which inspired me to start the foundation, the Association for Graduate Women in Leadership at UNCW. I am the woman who will be in your corner when you're pursuing your dreams as a female. My most notable professional achievement is being an advocate in healthcare for strategic partners as well as patients in general.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Iryna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to probably my own motivation and my own relentless desire to pursue challenging new things and go where I pursue hard things and push myself. But I've always been inspired by all the women who did the same in the past. I have a lot of women in my life now who I admire, the way they pushed themselves, the way they were not afraid when maybe they were, you know, but they just kind of pushed through and succeeded in their professional life.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Do hard things.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't doubt yourself. Go where it's scary, go where it's hard, challenge yourself, and always do something that helps you grow. Go where there is growth.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Probably just the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. But this is something that is expected, and there will always be challenges no matter what industry you're in. You just gonna have to just keep pushing and keep moving forward.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I do appreciate work ethic when I see it in people. Very strong work ethic is really important to me, as well as loyalty, honesty, and just being on time.
