Isabel Newton

Isabel Newton serves as Program Director and Lead DA Instructor at STVT Weslaco Education. She began her journey in the dental field in 2004 as a single mother of two, enrolling in a dental assisting program at a local community college despite lacking reliable transportation and childcare. After completing the 12-month program and working as a registered dental assistant in Texas for 13 to 15 years, she transitioned to education. In 2016, she started as a lab assistant at STVT and Core Education, where she was hired on the spot after a strong interview performance. She has since grown into her role, recently earning a promotion to program director and lead DA instructor while being nominated for the company's Alps Elite academic leadership program. Newton draws from her own experiences overcoming dyslexia, self-doubt, and financial hardships to mentor students, emphasizing positive self-talk and support. In her personal life, she also works as a Zumba instructor.
