Her Story
About Isabel
I was raised around cars my whole life from my father. I knew it was a passion I had, but I didn't know where to start or where to begin, so I connected with a woman who recommended me to a foundation that supports women's skill training. That encouraged me to go apply to welding school and an automotive school. To pay for college, I worked in sports and fitness as a personal trainer for about 4 years. Today, I am co-chairman, or vice chairman, of my local American Welding Society chapter, where I help host student and professional networking events, do professional trainings, and manage social media. My full-time career is as a sales account manager with the National Hot Rod Association, where I help market motorsport companies in the aftermarket industry to provide parts for racers and race teams. I'm just coming up on my first year in this position. My biggest achievement was my internship where I was a tire and body mechanic on a top fuel Funny car, the world's fastest cars, in 2025. Motorsports has always been a community to me. I was raised throughout the floors within my family, and that expanded to my father's race team, which was a community, and now I have this network of just one giant family I've created.

Ten minutes with Isabel
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion. Motorsports is my first love, and it'll be my forever love. I always had cars for my first boyfriend. It's just something that has driven me throughout my entire journey, and that passion is what keeps me going in this field.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be shy. You need to jump right in and explore. There will be people that don't believe in you, or that doubt you. But it's so important that you follow your gut instincts, and just keep on going. I want to make sure people know that it's never too late. There are several women I've met who didn't start their journey into the trades until their 40s and 50s, and I've always felt I was behind, but I always want to make sure people know that it's never too late.
