About Isabella

I started my social media journey in college when I was on the LSU Tiger Girls Dance Team. My freshman year, we won at the Universal Dance Association competition in Orlando, and after that win, we had meetings with social media help at LSU on the athlete side introducing NIL deals to us, which is name, image, and likeness. We were able to have deals with makeup, spray tan brands, and even little healthy snacks. That was really the opening for how I got into social media. While in college, I was able to figure out how to edit, what works, what doesn't work, and build my own personal brand. After graduating last May with a degree in mass communications with a concentration in journalism and a minor in Communication Studies, I moved to Dallas and applied for the social media role at Rebel Athletic. I got the job pretty quickly, which I'm very proud of because my parents told me it doesn't normally happen that easily. At Rebel, I shoot costume reveals and travel to get content of dance studios and teams performing in real time, showcasing what the brand is able to bring forth. I also started coaching in August for two junior dance teams at Dance Athletics, which is an extension of Cheer Athletics. I came mid-season as a coach, so the choreography was done, and it was really my stepping stone in being a coach and learning the ins and outs after being on the other side as a dancer for so long. I've been dancing since I was 3 and teaching since I was in high school about 8 years ago. Dance has given me so much, and I love being able to give back to that community.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would definitely tell her, obviously, absolutely go for it. It is such a fun field, and it is also very rewarding, just to be able to post your work and see comments and likes. It's a very rewarding field, but it's also something that you can have fun with, and I find myself having just the best of time being able to work in this field. Definitely just being able to dip your toe into anything that you're able to, video-wise, even just for fun. If you're starting out for fun on your own channels, I definitely would say that's the best way to start, but absolutely go into it if it's something that you're looking at.
