Her Story

About Isabella

Isabella Foss is a fashion professional, stylist, designer, and entrepreneur with six years of experience in the fashion industry and is the founder and owner of Maison Royale, an online fashion brand launched in 2024. Her brand focuses on feminine, modest, romantic, timeless, simple, and sophisticated clothing, reflecting her belief that fashion should emphasize individuality and authentic creative expression rather than simply follow fleeting trends. Foss began her career in luxury retail before transitioning into fashion merchandising, styling, design, and entrepreneurship. Her professional experience also includes working behind the scenes at fashion shows and contributing to a fashion magazine, where one of her most memorable career experiences was interviewing Andrea Bocelli's son.

Originally from Honduras, Foss moved to pursue a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising because the specialized educational opportunity she wanted was not available in her home country. She earned a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration and has continued developing her professional skills through a freelancing certification while pursuing a digital marketing certification. Alongside her fashion career, she balances a traditional full-time career with the development of Maison Royale during her evening hours. Her entrepreneurial philosophy centers on transforming creative ideas into sustainable businesses through discipline, financial planning, preparation, and consistent execution.

Foss's work is guided by faith, authenticity, creativity, resilience, discipline, love, and individuality. She credits God, faith, persistence, and resilience as important sources of her success and believes that creative professionals can build meaningful careers by remaining true to their individual vision. Looking toward the future, she hopes to produce her own fashion shows, participate in New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, and ultimately have her work or brand featured in Vogue. Through Maison Royale and her broader career ambitions, Foss seeks to establish herself as a recognizable creative voice in fashion while demonstrating to other young women that they can dream beyond conventional career paths and create opportunities that reflect their own unique identities.

Ten minutes with Isabella

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God and my faith, as well as my commitment to never giving up. Resilience and persistence have carried me through the challenges of my journey. I believe that with Christ, all things are possible, and I continue moving forward even when the journey is long.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to stay focused on my vision, maintain my faith, and keep moving forward even when progress feels difficult. Bringing a business vision to life takes patience, discipline, preparation, and careful financial planning. I have learned that meaningful growth does not happen overnight, so I remain committed to the process, trust the journey, and continue working toward my goals even when the path is challenging.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the fashion industry is to dream big and keep going. Do not allow the fashion industry to intimidate you or make you feel that you have to follow someone else's path. Everyone's journey is unique, and there is a market for everyone. Be yourself, embrace what makes you different, and continue pursuing your vision with determination.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in fashion is turning a creative vision into reality. Building a successful business requires significant work, preparation, planning, financial investment, discipline, and resilience. At the same time, I see a tremendous opportunity in embracing uniqueness and creativity rather than simply chasing trends. There is value in creating something authentic and allowing your individual creative vision to stand out.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith is central to both my work and personal life, and I believe in putting God first. I value loving people and loving what I do, while remaining authentic in everything I pursue. I believe that whatever I do should be done with love, sincerity, and a genuine commitment to who I am.
