Her Story
About Isabelle
Isabelle Alysia founded an event planning group specializing in Christian events about a year ago. The group creates opportunities for people to learn about local businesses that represent their faith in Christ, meet others, participate in activities, and share testimonies. She also works as a career paralegal in an immigration, criminal, and family law office while studying to become a lawyer. Alysia is involved in her church, Cornerstone in Bowie, where she serves and attends young adult groups. She attributes her success to her faith, having grown up in Boston before moving to Maryland at a young age and building her life and dreams independently while relying on God. She is considering extending her business from an LLC to a nonprofit to provide funds to those in need.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Isabelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith. Being able to lean on God in everything that I've overcome. I grew up in Boston but journeyed out to Maryland when I was young and have been building my life and dreams on my own, knowing that there's a God who's looking out for my best interests.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You really have to put your best foot forward in your future. I learned that if I put my effort into everything that I do, and remain connected to God, that my best circumstances would eventually come to flourish. Just trust the process.
