What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience(my high self-regulation skills), self-awareness, and staying aligned with my values, even during uncertain or uncomfortable transitions. I’ve learned to listen deeply to my body, my intuition, and the evidence in front of me. I don’t rush growth; I build it intentionally.
My success also comes from integrating science with humanity evidence-based practices alongside compassion, creativity, and lived experience. I’ve allowed my personal healing, cultural background, and professional training to inform each other rather than compete.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“Build something that can hold you during change.”
That advice taught me not to rely on a single title, role, or system for stability. Instead, I invested in skills, integrity, and adaptability. Careers evolve especially in health, wellness, and mental health and when your foundation is strong, transitions become opportunities rather than threats.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t shrink yourself to fit outdated systems. Your empathy is not a weakness, and your boundaries are not selfish.
Learn the rules but don’t confuse compliance with self-abandonment. Get educated, stay ethical, and protect your energy. Most importantly, don’t rush credibility. Depth takes time. Trust that your voice will mature as you do.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is burnout; both for professionals and the people they serve. Too many systems prioritize productivity over sustainability.
The greatest opportunity is the growing recognition that mental, emotional, relational, and physical health are inseparable. I believe that here’s always space for integrative, preventative, and whole-person approaches that honor both evidence and lived experience. This is where real transformation happens.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, presence, and balance.
I value doing work that is ethically grounded, emotionally honest, and human-centered. In my personal life, I prioritize health, meaningful relationships, and inner peace. I believe success should feel sustainable, not just impressive. If my work doesn’t support my well-being and my family, it’s not aligned.
