About Ivana
Ivana Neverman is currently a sophomore in college pursuing a degree in civil engineering. She developed an interest in the field during high school because she enjoyed math and physics and was drawn to the idea of designing and building structures like buildings, roads, and bridges. Ivana is a member of her school's swim team in Chicago, through which she contributes to community initiatives such as the annual Swim Safely Series that provides free water safety lessons to underprivileged children. She also volunteers at the master's program open water swim held on Ohio Street Beach and at the Chicago Triathlon. In addition, Ivana teaches swim lessons for all ages at the university recreation facility, where she enjoys interacting with diverse participants from the Chicago community. Looking ahead, she plans to secure internships during her college summers and transition to full-time work after graduation, with the goal of becoming a professional engineer and potentially advancing into a project management role.
