About Iveliz
Iveliz Rivera owns and operates Angel Eyes LLC, which she established in 2018. With more than 15 years of experience as a legal professional, Rivera has worked extensively in corporate compliance, commercial matters, real estate, legal operations, and corporate governance. She supports businesses with entity management, Health Care companies, operational processes, legal department functions, and commercial and residential real estate matters.
A significant career accomplishment came during her work with SolAmerica Energy, where she supported seven finance transactions in 2024 totaling approximately $79 million, including title, curative, closing, and transaction-related matters. Rivera has also published a book on Amazon focused on entity management and legal operations and is developing additional educational materials designed to help others strengthen their business and legal-operations practices.
Rivera credits much of her professional approach to an early attorney mentor who trained her to think beyond traditional paralegal responsibilities and taught her that answers can be found through diligent research, resourcefulness, and persistence. She continues to apply that philosophy when solving complex problems, managing competing priorities, and advocating for the value of paralegal and legal-operations professionals.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Iveliz
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, resilience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. I take ownership of my work, pay close attention to detail, and look for practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems. I have also been successful because I am willing to learn quickly, take on new challenges, and continuously improve processes. Most importantly, I value integrity, accountability, and being someone my team can rely on to follow through and get the job done.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My first attorney mentor trained me to think and work like an associate attorney. He taught me that there is very little you cannot figure out if you are willing to put in the work. His philosophy was simple: nothing is impossible—the information is out there; you just have to know how to find it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Write everything down—you never know when it might become part of your book someday.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the legal and paralegal field right now is keeping pace with rapidly changing technology, increasing compliance requirements, and the growing volume of work being handled by lean legal teams. At the same time, those challenges are creating major opportunities. Legal professionals who understand technology, legal operations, contract management, compliance, and process improvement can add tremendous value beyond traditional paralegal work. I see a real opportunity for experienced paralegals to take on more strategic responsibilities, help build efficient legal departments, and use AI and other tools to improve accuracy, organization, and productivity while still maintaining strong judgment and attention to detail.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are integrity, accountability, loyalty, respect, and perseverance. In my work, I believe in doing what I say I am going to do, being dependable, treating people professionally, and taking ownership of both the details and the outcome. In my personal life, I value honesty, faith, family, meaningful relationships, and being there for the people I care about. I also believe strongly in resilience—learning from difficult experiences, continuing to grow, and using what I have learned to help others.
