Ivette Laracuente is a Legal Operations and Intake Specialist at Albizu Law Firm in Austin, Texas, supporting immigration and family law practices. In her role, she manages the client intake lifecycle, develops structured workflows, administers case management platforms, and serves as a key operational link between clients and legal teams. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Ivette provides clear, compassionate communication to a predominantly Spanish-speaking client population while helping ensure that cases are organized, prioritized, and handled efficiently.
Before transitioning into legal operations, Ivette built a diverse professional background spanning education, healthcare, and client services. She served as a high school science teacher, teaching Earth and Space Science, Environmental Systems, Biology, and Advanced Biology, and previously worked as a medical interpreter and dental assistant instructor. Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industry Applied Microbiology from Universidad del Este, complemented by her Registered Dental Assistant training and certification in Texas. Across these roles, she has consistently applied her ability to translate complex information into accessible, practical guidance.
Beyond her professional work, Ivette is an advocate for underserved communities and a writer focused on neurodivergence. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to understanding and translating systems while recognizing that everyone’s background and experiences shape who they are. By embracing those differences, I can better understand people, navigate challenges, and help others navigate them as well.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay flexible and be willing to learn a little about everything while developing deeper expertise where it matters. I believe everyone has something to teach us—whether through positive experiences or difficult ones—so I remain open to learning from everyone I encounter.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to pursue internships, build meaningful professional networks, and look for opportunities to serve the community. Most importantly, stay grounded in your values and let them guide your decisions and career growth.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see significant opportunities in law, particularly in areas such as immigration and family law. I also believe there is value in recognizing that everyone brings different skills and experiences, creating opportunities to develop a unique niche and build a career around your strengths.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty, humanity, compassion, and kindness. I strive to embody these principles in both my professional work and personal life, treating others with integrity, empathy, and respect.
