Her Story
About Jacintta
Jacintta Gims is a registered nurse with 11 years of experience who currently serves in a supervisor position overseeing her department. She previously provided direct patient care at the bedside for a number of years. Gims earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Nichols State University as a nontraditional student. She recently founded Women to Woman Heal LLC to support women from all walks of life in growing stronger in their relationship with God and healing from trauma. Gims attributes her success to meditation, personal growth, empowering herself, consistency, and striving to improve as a person. She advises young women entering nursing to pursue their goals and dreams while recognizing the limits of their knowledge and avoiding improvisation in clinical situations. In addition to her professional work, Gims donates to various causes as they arise.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would probably say meditation, it's just, you know, growing, empowering myself. And just, being consistent and trying to do better as a person.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say, go after your goals, follow your dreams. And with nursing, you know what you know, what you don't know, you don't wing it.
