Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jackie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think it really comes down to loving what you do. I’ve always believed that, and I still do. Throughout my career, there have been highs and lows and different roles along the way, but at the end of the day, I genuinely love what I do.

At this point in my life, fulfillment matters more than ever — and I’ve realized it’s not always defined by a dollar amount. A big part of that fulfillment comes from helping others grow.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing people recognize their own potential — especially when they may not have seen a clear path for themselves before. I’ve learned that leadership isn’t just about driving results or managing a team; it’s about creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, inspired, and empowered to evolve.

I also think growth comes from remaining curious. No matter where you are in your career, there should always be a thirst to learn, to ask questions, to try new things, and to continue evolving. Some of the most impactful moments in my career have come from being open to change, embracing new challenges, and never becoming too comfortable to grow.

That mindset is something I try to instill in my team as well. I want people to feel excited by possibility, confident enough to step outside their comfort zones, and motivated to keep learning. When people feel empowered to grow both professionally and personally, that’s when real passion and creativity start to thrive.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to never stop being curious. Skills can be taught, industries evolve, and roles change — but curiosity is what keeps you growing.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay curious, challenge yourself, and never lose your voice. Be open to learning, willing to step outside your comfort zone, and confident enough to share your ideas and perspective. Growth comes from pushing yourself, asking questions, and trusting that your voice has value.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in advertising and media right now is that the landscape is constantly evolving. Consumer behavior changes quickly, platforms shift, and brands are competing for attention in more places than ever before. That means media companies have to stay agile, creative, and willing to adapt.

At the same time, I think one of the biggest opportunities is authenticity and connection. Audiences are craving trusted voices, meaningful experiences, and content that feels relevant to their communities and interests. That’s where strong media brands still have tremendous value.

I also believe integrated storytelling is more important than ever. The most impactful campaigns today aren’t just one ad or one platform — they’re experiences that connect print, digital, social, events, partnerships, and community engagement in a cohesive way.

For me, the opportunity is in continuing to evolve while staying true to what makes a brand valuable in the first place: trust, credibility, creativity, and the ability to genuinely connect with people.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are authenticity, curiosity, kindness, and growth. I believe in showing up as your genuine self, treating people with respect, and always being willing to learn and evolve — both personally and professionally.

In my work life, I value passion, collaboration, and creating opportunities for others. I want to be part of building environments where people feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow. Watching others succeed and gain confidence is incredibly fulfilling to me.

In my personal life, I value meaningful relationships, balance, and being present. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized success isn’t only about achievements — it’s also about fulfillment, purpose, and the impact you have on the people around you.
