About Jacklyn
Jacklyn Calamari serves as a Branch Banker and Operations Lead at PNC Bank in Palm Coast, Florida. She began her career in banking in 1999 as a part-time teller at Dime Savings Bank in New York and progressed through roles such as teller lead, platform worker, and traveling universal branch associate at Capital One, where she gained experience across teller and platform operations while traveling the region. In her current position, she manages demand deposit and business accounts, oversees branch operations, acts as an on-site champion for local businesses, and hosts community events focused on financial wellness and fraud awareness. Jacklyn is pursuing a master's level certification in cybersecurity through the PNC-sponsored GILT program offered via Chegg Skills, with a projected completion date of November 4. She holds leadership positions including president of the West Central North Florida Culture and Development Leadership Council and communications lead for the Multicultural Women in Business Organization, and she participates in the Women's Leadership Council, Women in Business, the Interfaith Council, and the Women's Council. Jacklyn attributes her success to returning to her why, a principle learned from her wrestling coach, which helps her persevere through challenges and maintain focus on creating a better life and serving as a role model. She values inclusion, respect for diverse perspectives, open communication, continuous learning, and work-life balance. Outside of work, she contributes to Wags and Wiggles in Atlanta and previously served as district captain for the ASPCA on Long Island, with plans to engage further with organizations such as St. Jude.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I always go back to my why. Whenever I feel moments of self-doubt or a slump in my career, going back to why I started keeps me grounded and reminds me of my purpose to create a better life and be a role model.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always go back to your why. Whenever you feel moments of self-doubt or like your efforts aren't being recognized, go back to the why of why you started - to create a better life for yourself and family, to be a role model. It brings you back to a steady state and helps you persevere through challenges.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Understand that challenges are part of the learning process. View them for the lessons they offer, as those will be your foundation for the next level. When you come to a challenging moment, stop, pause, reflect, and look at it as an area of opportunity for growth and development.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Inclusion, recognizing diversification, respect for all team members, valuing everyone's views and ideas, open communication, listening, learning and developing, and maintaining work-life balance because family is super important.
