Jacklyn earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Literacy, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Education, both from the University of North Texas.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay away from negativity and avoid teachers who bring you down. I focus on myself and my students, keeping my energy directed toward growth and positive impact.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to find yourself and truly know your worth.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now has been building confidence. At the same time, delivering a keynote speech has been a significant accomplishment in my current role, highlighting the opportunities for growth and impact.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are equity and advocating for each student, as well as practicing honesty and kindness in all that I do.
