About Jaclyn
Jaclyn Rini serves as Field Marketing Manager at HERE Enterprise, also known as here.io, in New York, NY, where she has worked for 5 years. With 13 years of experience in the event industry, she focuses on being creative, thinking outside the box, and turning marketing into experiences that create lasting impressions for customers and attendees. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014 and is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Rini attributes her success to beginning her career at a women-owned event agency, where she worked under powerhouse women who were leaders in the industry and shaped her approach as a woman in business. She values being kind, treating everyone as equals, and respecting that no job is too big or too small. Among the career advice she shares is that relationships are everything, to maintain positive connections with clients and colleagues over time, and to adopt an ownership mindset by treating the business as one's own regardless of role level. She notes that marketing professionals must adapt quickly to new developments such as AI while recognizing opportunities for new learning and roles like founding field marketer positions.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to starting my career with an event agency which is a women-owned business. I worked under powerhouse women that were moms and leaders in the industry, and that really shaped my career and who I am as a woman in business.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received is that no hat is too big or too small. Treat the business like it's your own and put on that ownership hat no matter what level you're at.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Relationships are everything. Try and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, and people I've worked with in the past. Stay in touch with everyone, never leave on a bad note, and keep those relationships positive for as long as you can.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In marketing, the challenge is changing on the fly with AI and everything new popping up, and having to adapt to what's working. The opportunity is there are new things to learn, new job opportunities like founding field marketer or founding events person roles because of all the new things popping up.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being kind all around, treating everyone as an equal. There's no job that's too big or too small. Being respected is very much of value.
