Through Kapwa Journeys, her long-term vision is to develop a framework that equips other professionals to better serve adoptees with trauma-informed, culturally attuned care. Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is: *“Your job is to get people comfortable with the uncomfortable.”* That simple truth has shaped how I show up as a clinician—meeting clients where they are, creating safety in vulnerability, and leaning into the hard conversations that lead to growth and healing.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kindness, family, and humility are the values that ground both my work and personal life. I believe in treating others with compassion and respect, showing up authentically, and staying rooted in gratitude. These values guide how I connect with clients, build relationships, and navigate the world—with care, empathy, and purpose.
