Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jacqueline
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being a lifelong learner and maintaining a willingness to explore new opportunities. I believe that trying new things helps me discover not only what brings me joy, but also what creates value and happiness for others. Through experience and experimentation, I have learned as much from what wasn't the right fit as from what was.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the most valuable pieces of career advice I received came from my mentor, Lisa K., former Director of East Coast Retail. She encouraged me to invest in my leadership development and challenged me to grow as a manager. Her guidance helped shape the leadership style I continue to practice today, one centered on supporting, developing, and empowering others.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to take on opportunities, even if you don't feel completely ready. Experience comes from doing, not waiting until you know everything. Growth happens when you're willing to step outside your comfort zone, so embrace challenges and be comfortable being uncomfortable.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Our industry is highly competitive, which makes it important to find a role and an organization where you genuinely enjoy the work and feel fulfilled. One of the biggest opportunities today is the integration of AI, as clients are increasingly using AI-generated floor plans and concepts. While AI is a valuable tool, I believe it can never replace the creativity, collaboration, and personal relationships that are essential to delivering exceptional client experiences.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value continuous growth, mentorship, adaptability, integrity, and lifelong learning. I believe in servant leadership and strive to support and develop those around me. Outside of work, my family is my highest priority, and I am committed to balancing a fulfilling career with being present for my two young sons.
