Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jacqueline

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my commitment to helping others and creating opportunities for people to succeed. I believe in giving back to my community, supporting those who are less fortunate, and using my position to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to keep going no matter what. Setbacks are meant to make me stronger, challenge me, and test my resilience. As long as I continue moving forward and remain determined, I believe the possibilities are limitless.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learn as much as you can before you enter into being a business owner. Make sure that your business is structured the correct way. Make sure that you are not in this business because it's a lucrative business but because this is really what you want to do. Educate yourself on everything that is needed to have a successful home care agency.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is staffing. There is a shortage of people willing to work in the industry, which makes it difficult to find and retain qualified, dependable employees. Ensuring that I have the right staff in place to provide quality care is one of my biggest ongoing challenges.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are respect, honesty, effective communication, accountability, and patience. In healthcare especially, patience is essential because it allows me to better understand and support others while handling challenges with compassion and professionalism.
