Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jacqueline

01What do you attribute your success to?

My father who started his own business in the basement and was one of the first franchise operators for Valpac direct marketing. He gave his time to his local community and was a go-getter. I had the opportunity to run two successful Valpac operations for many years when my mom was dealing with cancer.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Work with people who have a clear path on reaching their goals, because otherwise how can you grow if others around you are not growing. That's always been a key factor that I've kind of lived by.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Work with people who have a clear path on reaching their goals. Know your audience. Learn what motivates other people. Be a nurturer, make others feel inclusive. Be resilient, pivot and change on a daily basis, be open to other perspectives, and be patient.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Innovation and growth. Tariffs and international business. People trying to rebrand, understand local trends, millennial surge wanting things instantaneously, and losing patience.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and integrity on top of resilience. Be honest with yourself to be honest with others and lead an honest life. Lead by example. Surround yourself with people who share your values and want to make you better. Never stop learning, as without learning there's no growth.
