Her Story

About Jacqueline

I’ve spent over 20 years in the financial services industry, building a career around one core belief—when you truly understand people, you can change the trajectory of their lives and businesses.

As Talent Acquisition Director/VP at Blue Ocean Wealth Solutions, LLC, I focus on connecting the right individuals with the right opportunities. My approach has never been transactional. I take the time to listen, ask the right questions, and uncover what someone really wants—often before they can fully articulate it themselves.

My work spans the full talent journey—from sourcing and interviewing to advisor development, leadership, coaching, and succession planning. I’m also actively involved in industry organizations, which help me stay connected to evolving best practices and the broader financial services community.

Early in life, I was shy and unsure of my voice. This career changed that for me, and today I’m passionate about helping others step into their potential with confidence. That perspective shapes how I guide candidates and support advisors every day. That passion ultimately led me to found Blue Ocean Staffing Solutions, LLC, where I continue to help both companies and candidates find the right fit.

Ten minutes with Jacqueline

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is deeply rooted in the support of my family. My husband has always encouraged me to keep moving forward and not look back and my parents gave me the foundation to grow by truly listening, believing in me, and supporting me every step of the way. Now, my son inspires me in a different way. His outlook and accomplishments, including earning an academic and athletic scholarship to college and building a career in banking, remind me every day the importance of resilience, hard work, and embracing new ways of thinking.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never give up. Keep going. Even when you hear a no, you just keep moving forward. No is a request to redirect.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell younger women to be confident, stay persistent, and never underestimate your value. This industry can be challenging, but if you’re willing to put in the work, stay resilient, and build strong relationships, the opportunities are endless.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges facing the financial services industry right now is attracting a younger population and female advisors. Also, helping people truly see this as a viable and rewarding long-term career path. Sometimes the financial Services industry can be perceived as risky or uncertain, which may deter younger professionals from entering the business. Financial services offers a unique opportunity for women to build successful careers while also balancing family and personal life. Women today are key decision-makers in households and increasingly want to work with advisors they relate to, which makes representation even more important.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My core values are honesty, integrity, respect and empathy. I strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable being their authentic selves. When I work with others, I emphasize that it is a safe space and encourage open, honest, and direct communication. It’s the only way we can be of help to each other. I also place strong importance on respect and gratitude—simple courtesies like saying “Thank you” and a “Smile” go a long way.
