What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of formal education, hands-on experience, and a passion for helping others grow. With a degree in Economics and International Business, I began my career in Australia and spent 10 years at IBM, building deep expertise in talent development. Over the past four years, I’ve been the founder and CEO of TalentX Consulting, helping people find professional opportunities—even without a college degree—and guiding organizations to develop their workforce for the future.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to know what you’re aiming for, let go, and trust the process. Focusing on your goals while staying open to opportunities has allowed me to grow, adapt, and achieve success in ways I never could have planned.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be visible and confident—put yourself out there and share your story. Your experiences, insights, and perspective are valuable, and speaking up not only builds your presence but also inspires others and opens doors to new opportunities.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is balancing the diverse needs of stakeholders while creating effective learning solutions. I manage urgent inquiries, coordinate with clients, and design strategies that meet organizational goals, all while leveraging AI tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. This combination of human insight and technology allows for more impactful and scalable learning solutions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, connection, and well-being. I prioritize staying active, spending quality time with close friends, enjoying travel and short getaways, and taking time to recharge—because maintaining personal fulfillment allows me to bring energy, focus, and passion to my professional work.
