Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jacqueline

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to my drive and determination. There has always been a burning desire within me. I am constantly looking to develop new skills and take on greater responsibilities.

That mindset has pushed me throughout my career and motivated me to strive for the next level and find new ways to make a greater impact. I believe growth comes from continuously setting higher goals and being willing to put in the work to achieve them.

It’s also about helping others succeed, building strong relationships, and creating opportunities for those around you. My goal is to continue growing while inspiring others to believe in their own potential and pursue their ambitions with confidence.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to remain adaptable. The business world is constantly evolving, and the pace of change continues to accelerate, particularly with the rise of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Client expectations, industries, and ways of working are continually changing, which means professionals must be willing to evolve alongside them.

Throughout my career, I've found that maintaining an open mind and embracing change has been one of the keys to success. Rather than viewing new technology as a disruption, I see it as an opportunity to work more efficiently and focus on higher-value activities.

Change is inevitable in both our personal and professional lives. Those who are willing to learn, adapt, and embrace new possibilities will be best positioned for long-term success. My advice is to stay curious, remain open to innovation, and never stop learning. The future belongs to those who are willing to grow with it.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advise is to believe in yourself. Do not limit yourself and definitely keep an open mind.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is the fast-paced and often unpredictable nature of the construction industry. Many requests are time-sensitive, and critical information is not always available far in advance. As a result, the ability to pivot quickly, prioritize effectively, and perform under pressure is essential.

Throughout my career, I have built trusted partnerships with underwriters and carrier representatives, which allows me to collaborate efficiently and navigate urgent situations when timing is critical.

While the lack of lead time can be challenging, I have learned that success often comes down to responsiveness, resourcefulness, and the strength of your professional network. By remaining adaptable and fostering strong industry relationships, I am able to help clients overcome obstacles and achieve their business objectives, even under tight deadlines.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are relationships and trust. In the insurance industry, particularly when serving construction clients, trust is the foundation of everything we do. Clients rely on us to be there when challenges arise, whether it's meeting a last-minute contract requirement, securing critical coverage, or helping them stay compliant so their projects can move forward without interruption.

I believe strong relationships are built through consistency, responsiveness, and delivering on commitments. Over the years, many of my clients have remained with us because they know they can depend on our team to advocate for their needs and provide exceptional service. Earning and maintaining that trust is not something I take lightly.

For me, success is about more than placing insurance coverage—it's about being a trusted partner who clients can rely on when it matters most. Building lasting relationships and upholding that trust are the principles that guide my work every day and drive my commitment to serving my clients at the highest level.
