Dr. Jacquelyn Hadnot is a faith-driven entrepreneur, author, perfumer, and empowerment leader based in Prairie Village whose life and career reflect resilience, purpose, and transformation. With a professional background in accounting dating back to 1984, Jacquie’s entrepreneurial journey took a powerful turn after surviving a severe battle with cancer. Determined to live a healthier lifestyle and use products that aligned with her commitment to wellness, she began creating natural, organic, and vegan bath and body products as a hobby in her basement. What started as handcrafted soap-making soon evolved into a thriving business built on healing, quality, and intentional living. Through Mallie Boushaye Essentials, she now creates preservative-free products in small batches, ensuring freshness and craftsmanship in every item she produces.
Driven by a passion for artistry and innovation, Jacquie expanded her expertise by formally studying perfumery through several fragrance schools before refining her craft in Paris, where she studied the art of luxury fragrance creation. Today, she manufactures perfumes, colognes, and body mists from start to finish for small businesses, startups, and private-label clients while overseeing operations across three boutique locations. Her brands and product lines, including “A Woman of Worth” and “Men of Valor,” reflect her commitment to empowerment, self-worth, and holistic wellness. Beyond perfumery, Jacquie is also an accomplished media personality and speaker who has authored dozens of books, hosted television and radio programs, and traveled nationally and internationally sharing messages of faith, healing, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Her programs consistently encourage others to unlock their potential and pursue purpose with courage and discipline.
Equally committed to service, Jacquie founded Mallie’s House of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women battling cancer and homelessness, as well as the Women of Worth Empowerment Ministry, which teaches women practical entrepreneurial skills and helps them launch bath and body businesses of their own. Through workshops, conferences, and mentorship programs, she has trained aspiring entrepreneurs in product development, branding, and business creation, empowering women to create new opportunities for themselves and their families. Guided deeply by prayer, faith, honesty, and integrity, Jacquie approaches every decision with a sense of spiritual purpose and service. As she looks toward the future and prepares for eventual retirement, her focus remains on leaving behind a legacy rooted in healing, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and unwavering faith.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith in God. Every decision I make begins with prayer because I believe it is important to seek God’s direction before moving forward in any area of life or business. I never want to operate outside of His will for my life, so I take the time to pray, listen, and trust His timing. If the answer is yes, I move forward confidently. If the answer is not yet, I trust that as well. My faith is not simply something I speak about — it is the foundation that guides how I live, lead, and conduct business every day. I truly believe that God must come first in every aspect of life if you want to build something meaningful and lasting.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the greatest lessons I have learned throughout my career is the importance of seeking divine guidance before making major decisions. I have always believed in taking time to pray, exercise patience, and make sure that any opportunity aligns with my purpose before pursuing it. Not every good opportunity is necessarily the right opportunity, and I’ve learned to focus on discerning whether something is truly meant for me. That mindset has helped me navigate both business and personal challenges with clarity, faith, and confidence.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to learn as much as they can, remain diligent, and stay consistent in their efforts. Building a successful business takes time, patience, and persistence, so it’s important not to become discouraged during difficult seasons. Continue developing your skills, stay committed to your goals, and trust in your abilities. Growth does not happen overnight, but if you remain focused and willing to keep learning, the results will come. Most importantly, believe in yourself and never give up on the vision you have for your future.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in business right now is the state of the economy. Many people are facing financial uncertainty, job loss, and increased financial pressure, which naturally affects consumer spending. Since many of my products, especially perfumes, are considered luxury items, people often have to prioritize essential needs first. Another ongoing challenge is finding individuals who operate with integrity, professionalism, and strong character. Those qualities are incredibly important to me and can sometimes be difficult to find.

At the same time, there are tremendous opportunities within this industry. The fragrance industry is a multi-billion-dollar market, and there is significant potential for individuals who are willing to learn the business and develop their skills. I enjoy mentoring others and helping them understand how they can build a business of their own — whether as an additional source of income or as something they can grow into a lasting legacy for future generations.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, integrity, and strong character are the values I hold most closely in both my professional and personal life. I believe integrity is essential because it influences every decision you make and how you treat other people. Without character, it becomes easy to compromise your principles, and I believe the world needs more people who are committed to doing what is right even when it is difficult.

Above all, my faith in God remains at the center of everything I do. I strive to ensure that my decisions, actions, and goals are aligned with His purpose for my life. I do not move forward without prayer, and I constantly ask myself whether an opportunity is simply good or whether it is truly a God-given opportunity. That foundation has guided me throughout my journey and continues to shape both my life and my business.
