Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jacquelyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my children, who are my greatest motivation and driving force. Their presence inspires me to continue growing, overcoming challenges, and striving to build a meaningful future. I am also deeply influenced by my mother, who was an educator and a single mother. Her strength, resilience, and dedication have served as a guiding light throughout my life and continue to shape the person and professional I strive to be.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received came from a former boss, Beth, who encouraged me never to limit myself or doubt my abilities. She reminded me that I have what it takes to accomplish anything I set my mind to and that there is no challenge I cannot handle. Her words have continued to inspire me to believe in myself, embrace new opportunities, and approach challenges with confidence and determination.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the marketing and entrepreneurial space is to never become discouraged, especially when pursuing a path of independence or building your own business. It takes courage to step outside of your comfort zone and become your own boss, but staying committed to your vision is essential. Be steadfast in your goals, remain resilient through challenges, and continue moving forward with confidence, even when progress takes time.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in marketing today is maintaining consistency and demonstrating the value of personalized, human-driven work in an environment increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. Many tasks that once required significant time and expertise can now be completed by AI in seconds, leading some clients to question the value of traditional, hands-on services. However, I believe this shift also creates an opportunity to emphasize the creativity, strategy, personal insight, and authentic relationships that technology cannot fully replace. My focus is on continuing to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work while demonstrating the unique value of a personalized approach.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is the most important value in both my personal life and my work. My children and loved ones are my greatest motivation, and I believe that finding your purpose and staying connected to your reason for pursuing your goals are essential to happiness and success. I also value protecting my peace, maintaining focus, and staying committed to the goals I have set for myself.
