What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family and to staying open-minded—embracing setbacks and mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow throughout my journey. (Also a sense of humor definitely helps.)
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was Winston Churchill's quote, “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” Challenges and tough times are unavoidable, but you can’t sidestep them—you have to push through. Even when the future feels uncertain, keep moving forward and trust that something brighter is waiting on the other side.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t be afraid to learn by doing—and by making mistakes. Research and preparation are valuable, but at some point you have to just take the leap and put yourself out there. Failure isn’t just inevitable; it’s essential to success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, the biggest challenges are fear of AI and economic uncertainty. With AI-generated content flooding the market, there’s a fear that marketing roles could be replaced. The key is to stay creative, authentic, and deeply connected to your clients in ways AI never can. That’s how you make yourself truly irreplaceable. Economic uncertainty is another real challenge, with the job market constantly shifting. The best way to navigate it is by staying competitive, adaptable, and committed to learning. Don’t let headlines or fear dictate your path. Hard work, creativity, and the courage to carve your own unique path will always open doors—even in unpredictable times.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Uniqueness. In marketing, there’s a concept called the ‘unique value proposition’—the thing only you can offer that no competitor can replicate. I believe the same applies to life and work. The most successful people stay true to themselves and forge their own path, even when there’s no blueprint or model to follow. To me, success comes from being fully aligned with who you are, tripling down on that uniqueness, and refusing to compromise on it—no matter what.
