Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jacy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I want to be a legend because I will never die. If I'm a legend then my name will live on hundreds of years past you. Passion feeds passion. Everybody's 6 degrees from each other.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You've already made a name for yourself. Now you get two choices. You can either be famous, or you can be a legend at what you do. I want to be a legend because if I'm a legend then my name will live on hundreds of years past you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If they're a 9-to-5 or they're so set on autopilot that they know that that paycheck has to come, it's scary to let go of the 9-to-5 to pursue your own dreams. But once you do it is so rewarding. Having a good social network, a good social backwing.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is just trying to be consistent to a point where your name carries itself. Advertising. I spent a lot of money, like $10,000 a month in advertising. Now it's wanting to advertise again but I have enough clientele from over the years that I don't really need to.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

It's about how many people did you touch while you're out there? How many people did you actually make a difference in their life. I'm giving you tools for your toolbox, and your toolbox is knowledge, and whatever I teach you here today, I need you to go teach somebody else for free. It's not about competing with people, it's about being able to do something, or have the skill set, or an ability. I have to be very, very, not only just using a good code of ethics, but you have to be very staunch in your ways.
