About Jada
Jada Knox is a supply chain senior inventory manager with 10 years of experience. She began her career in supply chain as a night job while in college, where a mentor recognized her potential and trained her. Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jada
01What do you attribute your success to?
My motivation is knowing that we need more leaders like me, and what I represent in my industry, as a leader. That drives me to the results I've gotten from my team. No matter where I am, everybody that I've trained reaches out and says they appreciate what I've shown them. The way I lead is unique. You don't have to be nasty to people to drive results. I jump in and don't let the team sink.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The leader that you're under matters. And secondly, just to not worry about what everyone else is doing around you, but to put in the work. And when you put in the work, once you look up, you'll realize that you have made it further by not worrying about everyone else and worrying about your own plan.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Your goals are attainable. In my industry, we are beginning to have more opportunities to be at any point of supply chain.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Making sure that you are moving forward and remain mindful of your own development in and outside of work. With automation and the times changing, continue to develop yourself and learn new things and new tasks.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, for sure. And as a leader, be the leader that you want to see. Leadership is not about your title or your rank, but it's a mindset. Leading in every aspect of life and having integrity, which is doing the right thing even when nobody is looking, are key values that I have.
