Over the course of her career, she has built a reputation for designing memorable pop-ups, fashion shows, and trunk shows, and she previously helped generate more than $60,000 in revenue through a series of events held at Scanlan Theodore in under a year. Her work consistently bridges creative vision with measurable business results, reflecting her ability to translate brand storytelling into client loyalty and sales growth.
Jada holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Xavier University and a Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management from LIM College, giving her a blend of analytical and creative expertise that she applies throughout her work. Her passion for event production traces back to her college years, when she organized fashion shows through the female empowerment club Diamonds, and it has since grown into a career defined by hands-on leadership in high-touch, brand-driven experiences. She has also expanded her professional network through participation in New York Fashion Week, an investment that opened doors to additional styling and photo-shoot opportunities and shaped her broader perspective on the industry.
Beyond her corporate role, Jada is actively developing her own fashion brand while remaining engaged in community and advocacy work, including her involvement with the Black Women's Congressional Alliance, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, and ongoing partnerships supporting Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness initiatives. She credits her achievements to the steady support of her family and to her own resilience, describing herself as an open opportunist who draws lessons from every experience. Grounded in the values of communication and community, Jada continues to pursue growth within the corporate fashion world while working toward mentoring others and building out her entrepreneurial ventures.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jada Michelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family and to myself. My family has always been my support system, and I've paired that with my own resilience and determination to keep moving forward. I believe in continuously growing, learning, and adapting, and I see myself as an open opportunist — someone who takes every experience, whether good, bad, or somewhere in between, and asks what lesson it holds. That mindset, combined with the foundation my family gives me, is what has carried me through my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to invest in yourself. There were times I had to cover my own travel and lodging just to work New York Fashion Week, even without my sister there to support me in the city. Looking back, the network and insight I gained from that experience were invaluable. The return on that investment isn't always immediate or monetary, but in the fashion industry, it's absolutely worth your time in the long run.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge right now is market saturation paired with the current state of the economy. So many independent designers are launching their own brands that the space has become incredibly crowded, and economic pressures are affecting how much people are able to spend. At the same time, that same accessibility is an opportunity — there's very little standing in the way of starting your own brand today, which opens the door for anyone ready to take that step.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Communication and community matter most to me, both professionally and personally. I strongly believe in staying open and honest in how I communicate. Community is just as essential, because without it, you're navigating everything alone. Having people you can lean on and who genuinely support you makes all the difference.
