Her Story

About Jade

As the CEO of Sticker Worthy Solutions, I lead a disability advocacy company dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities. My primary focus is on developing innovative solutions that promote independence and accessibility. One of my biggest achievements is creating a navigation app that helps disabled people navigate buildings using accessible features, eliminating their need to rely on others for assistance. I handle all aspects of the business, from ideation and decision-making to project management. I manage a team of students working on various projects, and I believe strongly in giving them full creative freedom - I provide the specifics of what I need, but then let them create the project on their own while I guide them from the background. Currently, I have a student working on our website with complete creative control. I'm also pursuing my MBA in Human Resource Management at Central Michigan University, where I just completed my undergraduate degree this May. My work has gained recognition through multiple articles, including a Student Spotlight for accessibility and a Provost Award article highlighting my undergraduate research, which involved collecting 155 responses from Central Michigan students to develop the app. I'm planning to apply to present my app at the Center of Disabilities for Assistive Technology at another university.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe strongly in creativity and independence. My whole idea is that a student or a person should have creativity in whatever they're doing, so they can create the project on their own. I give my team members full creative freedom - I just provide the specifics of what I want and what I need, and then they can do whatever they want with full free creativity. This philosophy extends to my company's mission as well, which focuses on improving independence for people with disabilities, helping them navigate their environment without relying on other people for help.
