Her Story

About Jadelin

Jadelin LaBelle is the Financial Center Assistant Manager and Assistant Vice President at Bank of America's 7th and Olive banking center in downtown Seattle, Washington. With more than a decade of experience in the finance industry, she began her career as a cashier before entering banking as a teller with Wells Fargo at the age of 19, later advancing into personal and corporate banking roles. She transitioned to Bank of America in 2020, and over the years has built deep expertise in retail banking, preferred retail banking, business banking, and consumer banking, while taking on responsibilities that include overseeing vault and ATM operations, leading business briefings, and managing complex client accounts.

LaBelle's rise within the organization reflects a consistent record of strong performance and leadership. She was recognized as a top 15 percent performer among senior bankers company-wide, promoted to Assistant Vice President, and elected treasurer of the Black Professionals Group at Bank of America. Under her contributions, her financial center also earned Pinnacle status, placing it among the top 5 percent of centers companywide. Her communication skills, sharpened through an associate's degree in communication and earlier studies in broadcasting and journalism at Arizona State University, have played a central role in her ability to lead teams and build trust with clients facing complex financial needs.

Beyond her day-to-day banking responsibilities, LaBelle is deeply committed to mentorship, community engagement, and financial education. She serves as the Better Money Habits Champion for Seattle Downtown, bringing financial literacy programming to students in middle and high schools, and is active in organizations such as the Coalition of 100 Black Women, the LGBTQ Employee Network, and the Asian Leadership Networking Group. Guided by values of perseverance, service, and financial empowerment, she continues to champion opportunities for professional growth, both for herself and for the colleagues and communities she serves.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jadelin

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the foundation I built early in my career, starting as a cashier at JCPenney and then as a teller at Wells Fargo at just 19 years old. That entry-level experience sparked a genuine passion for financial services and professional growth, which carried me through roles as a personal banker and into corporate banking. Joining Bank of America in 2020 allowed that momentum to continue, and today I bring the same dedication to my work in financial literacy, leadership, and client service. My background in communication and broadcasting journalism has also been instrumental, giving me the confidence to lead calls, speak in front of groups, and connect authentically with clients and colleagues alike.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is simple: keep a positive attitude and never give up. There will be difficult days, hard conversations, and moments of doubt, but those very challenges often open the door to opportunities that can reshape your career. I've learned that success rarely follows a perfectly laid plan; instead, staying committed, continuing to learn, and remaining open to the unexpected are often what lead to the next big step forward.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are leadership, perseverance, a positive attitude, professional growth, service, financial empowerment, and communication. I try to lead by example while creating opportunities for others, and I stay committed even during difficult times, always approaching challenges with optimism and resilience. I'm dedicated to continuous learning and to supporting my clients, colleagues, and community, while using my role to help others build financial knowledge and confidence. At the heart of it all, I believe clear and effective communication is what allows me to build strong relationships and inspire the people around me.
